3. Documenting a Day

There are many ways that I use Word; I use it for work and school. The most recent time I’ve used was to finish my homework for week 1. I had to write a paper about using scratch software and my opinion about programming. I also use it at work to make labels for our assets.

1.     Adjusting fonts –

a.      I had to adjust to 12 pt. Times New Roman as my size and font for the project about the APA Format.

b.     I change the text up to 50 pt. And using Arial as my font for the label.

2.      Text Alignment –

a.      Per APA Format, I had to switch to center alignment for my cover page and use enter for spacing.

b.     I had to center the label, so it looked more professional and easier to read.

3.     Color Change –

a.      I had to change my text color to red for customers to see that an asset isn’t available.

4.     Orientation –

a.     To make the labels, I had to switch the orientation from portrait to landscape to fit the words and keep them a decent size to be visible.

5.     Highlighting –

a.     I had to highlight some words to make them stand out and let the customers know that it is an important word to read.

6.     Insert Picture –

a.     I had to insert a picture on the label so the customers could visually see the part.

7.     Page Number –

a.     For the paper, I had to insert a page number on top of every page, so I went into the insert tab and clicked on page numbers.

8.     Spacing -

a.     I used double spacing for my homework on the home tab under paragraph.

b.     For the label, I kept it on default spacing, single-spaced.

9.     Italicize –

a.     I had to italicize some words on the label to emphasize a note for customers to read.

10. Table –

a.     I had to make a table for my labels so customers could sign in and out a tool they used.

Spreadsheet

PowerPoint
